We analyzed our UK 2025 intake data of accepted students to find the single strongest predictor of enrolment. The answer was tuition deposits.

Deposit Size Helps to Predict Follow-Through
For our UK 2025 intake, here are the enrolment rates by size of tuition deposit once a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) was issued and visa application approved.

Takeaway: Guide accepted students toward a meaningful deposit. A deposit around £7,000 is a strong signal of intent, and a simple marker institutions can use to focus on post-offer supports. Once a CAS is issued, enrolment rates are consistently high. The downstream funnel (visa submission, visa approval, arrival) is not where most students drop off.

Takeaway: When an institution issues a CAS to an ApplyBoard student, the student is overwhelmingly likely to receive a visa and arrive. This reflects the pre-offer screening ApplyBoard does before an applicant ever reaches an institution's admissions team.
